About

The current mainstream-media attitude toward knife crime (particularly in London) is reductive to the point of being dangerous. Criminals are treated as existing in a vacuum where their actions have no prior context, and underlying racism silently speaks of knife crime as restricted to the black community. A film that celebrates humanity - and more importantly, reality - of being a young person in London. Offset against the visuals are actual testimonies and thoughts from citizens of London who have either been affected or made aware of the city’s knife crime and its complex relationship with class, social mobility and the government’s cutting of community funding.
